SeaWorld Orlando’s message of Park to Planet conservation shines through in a unique art project that uses recycled plastic soda bottles that was once trash polluting our beaches to make Christmas trees and other decorations in the theme park. You can see them when you visit during this year’s Christmas Celebration.
We talk with Filipe Riviera the project’s art director about his vision and he hopes guests will take away from the Christmas art:
As part of the project SeaWorld ambassadors collected 10,000 bottles from beaches and different areas to create Christmas trees, wreathes, and other sculptures, The 8 foot tree itself uses 2375 plastic bottles.
Riviera hopes guests will be inspired by the use of recycled items to reduce, reuse, and recycle themselves and perhaps do a similar art project at home.

Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas – A returning classic, Sea Lion & Otter Stadium celebrates the season with a hilarious Christmas comedy show. Clyde and Seamore, along with a few mischievous otters, a comical elf, and even a jolly walrus, invite guests to their fun-filled holiday celebration.
Pets Ahoy Christmas – Enjoy a special Christmas version of this side-splitting show with surprise twists, and a cast of unlikely characters that will have the whole family laughing from beginning to end.
Sea of Trees – Guest line the water front to see SeaWorld’s unique show that involves fountains, lights, and millions of feet of programmed LED lights dancing in beautiful patterns to Christmas music. It really must be seen to be believed.
