The newest dining experience to open at Disney Springs is already planning to host its first wine tasting. Wine Bar George is preparing your senses for Summer with a beautiful pink adventure for National National Rosé Day on June 9. Two tasting sessions will be led by Master Sommelier George Miliotes himself.
Curious about Rosé wine? It’s name comes not from a specific grape, but because only some of the grape’s skins are used during the maceration process (which gives wines their color). Traditionally, the pink color has been associated with sugary wines like White Zinfandel, Prosecco, or pink Champagne. However, many of your favorite wines (Pinot Noir, Merlot, Grenache, Malbec, Syrah, etc) also have a Rosé version. There are also some very popular blends.
A tasting like this one at Wine Bar George will help you know if you like your Rosé wines more old world which tend to be dry (less sweet) or new world which tend to be less dry (sweeter).
