Scope of Marvel Cinematic Universe examined in latest Infinity War featurette

“Avengers: Infinity War” is the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The superbly successful superhero franchise has dozens of big name stars, some of the best directors working today, and a box office total that could fund a small nation. Before the Marvel Studios moves forward with its next tentpole extravaganza, they’re taking a moment to look back.

The scope of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a ten year odyssey through some of your favorite super hero stories of all time. It all comes to a head in a two-part Avengers series. Part one, Avengers: Infinity War, is out in less than 10 days and Marvel Studios has released a new featurette that looks back at the 10 years of Marvel movie making.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Trinh Tran, Jon Favreau, James Gunn and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay. “Avengers: Infinity War” releases in U.S. theaters on April 27, 2018.
