This month Walt Disney World officially welcomes a new suite of Italian dining concepts from The Patina Restaurant Group to Disney Springs. Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante which is the main dining location had its grand opening ceremony yesterday and The Disney Blog was there.
As you might expect for an Italian eatery, the official opening ceremony also involved a huge pot of spaghetti in place of the ribbon.
As a guest you enter the restaurant on the upper level from The Landing section of Disney Springs. The building is designed to resemble an old airport terminal with Art Deco themes and travel related posters throughout. The view down into the dining room and out across Lake Buena Vista is marvelous.
Look up to the ceiling for a giant globe of the Earth and you’ll spy two hidden Mickey’s marking Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s location on the globe. The host and hostess staff dress like flight attendants and even the table settings match the 1930s era that the original airport terminal was supposedly set in. Disney Magic.
Menu items are classic Italian and the adult beverage menu is huge. Chef Theo Schoenegger hails from Italy and has brought some of his favorite items to the menu.
No passport is required to take your taste buds on a grand adventure at Maria & Enzo’s Italian Restaurant. It’s open now at Disney Springs. Reservations are available on Open Table and are recommended.
