ABC’s hit family comedy “black-ish” has its first spinoff. “grown-ish” follows Zoey (portrayed by Yara Shahidi), the eldest child of Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross), as she heads off to college. The show promises to be a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education. In high school Zoey was a popular, entitled, stylish, and socially active 17-year-old daughter; however, once she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest.
