NBA Experience at Disney Springs concept art unveiled

With this year’s NBA season just underway, Disney Springs has unveiled the first concept art for the new NBA Experience coming to Walt Disney World and we think it’s a slam dunk. It gives of the clear vibes of an NBA arena with giant monitors, scoreboards, and huge glass windows, and still feels magical in the way only a Disney design can.

This will make a huge impact on the West Side of Disney Springs replacing the DisneyQuest attraction and transforming the area.

“We are inspired by the design of the new building and the energy that it will bring to the West Side of Disney Springs,” said Senior Vice President of Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Maribeth Bisienere.

Inside the NBA Experience will be a restaurant, interactive games, immersive fan experiences, and a retail store.

NBA President, Global Partnerships Sal LaRocca, recently commented on the project, sharing, “This one-of-a-kind experience is sure to be enjoyed by basketball and Disney fans of all ages who visit Disney Springs from around the world.”

It’s hard to tell from the concept art, but the building looks like it might expand upon the existing footprint of DisneyQuest into the walkway between it and the Cirque du Soliel building. That looks to be where the new restaurant will be. We’re told this will be a complete rebuild from the ground up, but nothing official released on that matter.

What do you think of the design? Will this be a great addition to Disney Springs?
