We’re deep in the middle of Trick or Treat season at the Magic Kingdom. Guests from all over come to the park for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and enjoy Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade among the party’s other excellent treats.
One of the crowd favorite sections of the Boo-to-you parade is the Haunted Mansion unit. In the Haunted Mansion unit you’ll find gravediggers, hitchhiking ghosts, and ballroom dancers.
The Disney parks blog’s Jennifer Fickley-Baker took a trip backstage to work with Choreographer Larry Kornfehl to learn what is involved with becoming a dead ballroom waltzer in the parade.
I’ve been told that at one time the choreography of the waltzing dead were repeating the waltz from the Cinderella Ball section of the Main Street Electrical Parade. Obviously it’s change a bit since then.
There’s still time to book your own visit to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party as it has events on the following nights Oct. 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31; and Nov. 1.
