With Walt Disney’s animated classic “Bambi” celebrating its 75th anniversary this year (the US premiere was yesterday in 1942) we were wondering why there wasn’t some sort of theme park tie-in. The good news is that this weekend, August 25-27, you’ll be able to enjoy special photopass opportunities to celebrate the film.
If you do plan to be at the park. From 10:20 am to 4pm you can meet Thumper and Miss Bunny outside the Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Other Photopass photographers will be around to help you include a Bambi and friends Magic Shot or prop in your photos. Be sure to tell your PhotoPass photographer you want a Bambi Magic Shot.
Better late than never, I guess. We do love rare character meet and greets and Magic Shot opportunities in PhotoPass. Alas, the effort seems a bit underwhelming compared to how Disney used to celebrate its animated classics at the parks with parades and season-long meet and greets.
Don’t forget you can pickup a new Walt Disney Signature Collection blu-ray DVD of Walt Disney’s ‘Bambi’ via Amazon where your purchase will help support The Disney Blog.
