We recently enjoyed an early preview of an exciting new offering coming from Adventures by Disney to Walt Disney World – Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy. On this tour you’ll take a backstage tour as the elves and cast members make final preparations to transform the resorts and theme parks into a holiday wonderland. You’ll also get a walk-through of on-stage decorations and see them in an entirely new way.
As a big fan of the Christmas holidays it was a real once in a lifetime highlight to go into the warehouse where all the decorations are stored, repaired, and created for the upcoming season. Work goes on year round and as soon as preparations are finished for one year, the begin planning the next.
We weren’t able to take photos in the preparation area, but Disney did prepare a few staging areas and send us these photos they took on our behalf.
The price of the Yuletide Fantasy Tour is a very reasonable $99. The 3-hour tours start November 27 and end Decembe 29. Every participant gets a special Disney Pin. So don’t miss your window.
A second tour is also available, Disney’s Holiday D-Lights. It will take guests on a tour of three parks to see the enchanting wintertime lights. You’ll be whisked from park to park and provided the optimum view for your d-lightful tour. Its a bit more expensive at $259 and runs for 5-hours.
What is your favorite part of seeing Walt Disney World dressed up for the holidays?
I was thinking about doing this tour, does it require park admission?
Have there been any hint as to what they may yet do with the Osborn lights??
I did the tour last year. Was a great time! Very cool insight to some backstage locations.
