Although Disneyland used to have a petting zoo back in the Big Thunder Ranch Area, the park’s main horses lived backstage at the Circle D Ranch. With the addition of Star Wars Land to the map, Disney had to move its equine facility to a new, off-site location.
The 5.5 acre ranch includes a spacious barn with all the modern conveniences, an outdoor arena, training pens, and turnout areas for horse play.
