Marvel’s The Defenders on Netflix arrives with a bang

New York may be at war with the powers of evil, but with The Defenders on the city’s side, there’s nothing to fear, except a lot of property damage, of course. Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City (particularly Hell’s Kitchen).

The Netflix series tells the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

The first trailer for the series is here:

A cover of Nirvana’s “Come as you are” is a great choice as the music for the trailer. Has that angst-y feel while also signifying acceptance of others.

I’ve not yet finished watching all the individual series, but I’m trying to catch up because this trailer has me excited to see what Marvel can do with four street heroes working together.

The Netflix original series will launch globally on August 18, 2017.
