For those who wish to enjoy a few sweets with their fireworks display, but don’t enjoy the hot humid nights of Central Florida, you’ll be interested to know that beginning July 10, 2016, the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party will be moving from Center Stage to Star Wars Launch Bay. Perhaps Disney just got tired of moving it indoors every time it rained.
Guests will now check in at the entrance to Star Wars Launch Bay, then enjoy the party inside with the Star Wars exhibits. About 15 minutes prior to the show, attendees will then be escorted to the outdoor VIP viewing area in front of the Great Movie Ride (exact location has yet to be announced).
With the new fireworks show it’s more important than ever to fit as many guests in the center stage area of the park. So not having tables and buffets will help free up more space in the area. The current dessert party will continue to be held in the Center Stage area until July 10th.
If you want to see Star Wars Launch Bay as a regular guest, you’d better plan on visiting before the dessert party. The exhibit and meet and greets have been pretty slow once the sun goes down, but this new schedule could put a wrench in a few plans.
If you’re looking for a great way to soak in the sweet side of the Force at the end of the day, you can find tickets priced at $69 for adults (aged 10 and older) and $39 for children (ages 3-9). Tax and gratuity are included.
Wow, it’s hot, humid and uncomfortable here in July. Not really news. Looking forward to the show after black out.
