It may be a digital world, but analog music is making a comeback. Some people claim you can’t beat the sound of a vinyl record, others are just doing it for the nostalgia of it. A new Disney Cruiser Turntable evokes one of Disney’s most treasured vintage items – the Mickey Mouse record player.
This beautiful Crosley suitcase-style turntable features a three-speed dial, RCA headphone jack, NP6 needle, and an all-in-one speaker. The design features Mickey Mouse and his lovable pal Pluto. It was 5.5 lbs and the size is approximately 14 inches by 10 inches and about 5 inches tall. So it’s pretty compact.
We received an early model to review. The portable record player is super-cute and will give you all sorts of retro cache with your neighbors and fellow Disney fans. After we educated our son on exactly what a vinyl LP was, we tried out a few classic Disney soundtracks we’d been keeping around the house. Not surprisingly they sounded pretty good (although part of that may be the nostalgia talking).
The turntable will be released on Record Store Day, which this year is April 16th. It retails for around $109.96.
