It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Walt Disney World – the holiday season. The parks all glow with extra magic and thousands of sparkling lights. There’s no better way to enjoy the Christmas season than the hard-ticket event “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” at the Magic Kingdom. The dates for 2016 have just been rolled out, so mark your calendars.
November 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 27 and 29
December 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18 and 22
That makes 21 evenings of festive fun with Mickey and all his pals. We know that there will be fun live entertainment, spectacular fireworks, and the Christmas parade. We also look forward to seeing Mickey and his pals dressed in their holiday outfits.
We’re still waiting for more details on the event itself, including price. But we’re expecting prices to rise significantly this year, just like the day prices.
If you’ve attended a MVMCP in the past, what made it feel like a good value to you?
Previously: Disney announces dates for 2016 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
I went to the Halloween party when I was at Disneyland a couple years ago, and had a lot of fun. I will someday go to the Christmas party.
But Disney’s cash grabs are turning me off wanting to go to the World at all. November 7 is far too early to start doing Christmas.
After my last Mickey’s Very Merry, I would not pay for the experience again. So many tickets were sold that you could not possibly see the Castle show or the parade unless you parked yourself there the minute you got inside the MK. For a separate ticketed event, there were way too many people for my taste. I’d spend more to have half the people. We’d gone as a family probably 13 years ago and it wasn’t nearly as crowded (same time of December as well). For me, it is not worth the extra money. I’d rather spend it on a dinner package for the Candlelight Processional at Epcot.
Went to MVMCP this past December. It was probably the favorite time I’ve ever spent at magic kingdom. Why was it a value for me?? Well the parade is amazing. The snow, the smells of the parade were intoxicating. The fireworks show was the best I’ve ever seen. (Haven’t seen MNSSHP fireworks live yet) The charecter greets were amazing. All Dressed up for the holidays made for great pictures and interactions. If you’re into that it’s worth it. Yes it was crowded but I’ve seen worse, and I would go again. No doubt about it.
How rough is a Sunday night party compared to Tuesday, Thursday or Friday? Looking at the 11th on or backing up to the 6th or 8th. Wish they released the dates for the Candlelight processional at the same time?
