We then head over to the core section of Disney Springs. This is the area that Imagineers say was the core of the town everything else grew up around, including natural Florida springs.
It connects to the Town Center which will extend all the way from the MarketPlace side to the West Side and completely surrounding The Landing. This area will more than double the original number of shops and restaurants in Downtown Disney just by itself. I can’t wait to see more of it.
We also reported on the Fulton’s Crab House going dark for 6 months to remodel. We’re not sure what sort of change it will bring, but we decided to take a few pictures for posterity anyway.
The good news for travelers is, that at this point, construction isn’t really impacting the rest of Disney Springs. The direct exit off the I4 into the Orange Garage has made traffic flow a lot easier. There’s plenty of parking and things to do at the existing Disney Springs. The only real issues are that the Disney buses only drop off at the far end of Marketplace, which makes it a bit of a walk if you’re trying to get to Westside. But don’t forget about the ferry boats that will take you from the dock near Saratoga Springs right to the House of Blues. It’s a beautiful ride and you might see one of those amphicars floating around too.
Are you looking forward to seeing Disney Springs when it’s all finished?
