Fan short film captures spirit of Star Wars perfectly

An Unofficial Star Wars short film set on the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” world of Jakku shows the power of Star Wars fans to really grasp what the Star Wars universe is all about. “Kara” is written and directed by Joe Sill. It follows a father and daughter as they attempt to escape across the desert sands to a rebel village only to encounter a dogfight between tie-fighters and x-wings.

What happens next makes for great video:

There’s a lot packed into those seven-minutes. While the special effect and sound editing could have used a bit of help, the acting, sets, and costumes were great. I really liked the music too.

In the end its the intimate story that wins out and that’s what makes it so good. Right?
