The seventh episode of Star Wars premiers tonight in Hollywood. It’s expected to take over multiple theaters including the Disney owned El Capitan Theater, the nearby Dolby Theater, and the home of many previous Star Wars premieres, the Chinese Theatre. Invited guests got a note asking that they avoid spoiling the film and to dress in “Star Wars” themed ‘chic’ attire. I guess my Star Wars Hawaiian Shirt is out. Oh wait, I think my invitation got lost in the mail.
Believe it or not there are new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” TV spots. With less than 5 days to go until it opens there is even be some new footage too. Nothing spoilery though:

Over on Twitter, we polled readers on what their plans are to see Episode VII?
When are you planning to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters?
— The Disney Blog (@TheDisneyBlog) December 13, 2015
Of course, that doesn’t count how many people plan to see it multiple times. I know I already have plans to see it at least twice.
The first of those times will be at the local press screening on Tuesday. I’m embargoed until 12:01 AM onthe 16th, but my plans are to have a review up then (or shortly there after).
There is good news if you’re looking for opening weekend tickets. It looks like the movie will open on more than 4,000 screens. It means even if you’re not one of those who pre-purchased their tickets online, there’s a good chance you can find an open screening near you.
Disney and Lucasfilm have worked hard to keep the big secrets of Star Wars: The Force Awakens out of the spotlight. If you are one of those who are seeing an early screening, do all your fellow fans a favor and don’t discuss spoilers on your way out of the theater.
I have to admit that I am totally sucked in by all of the hype. I can’t wait to see it.
