If true, our thoughts are with his friends and family. News is developing and right now officials will only say he is unaccounted for in the crash.

In his early career Horner worked on Disney films including “Rocketeer,” “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” “Bicentennial Man,” and “Captain EO.” He also wrote mega-hits including “Avatar,” “Titanic,” “A Beautiful Mind,” “Braveheart,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” and many more.

Here’s an interview with Horner from Feb 2010 while he’s still processing the success of Avatar.

Horner has composed some of my favorite movie music (“Glory” is among my all time favorites). The world will be a lot less rich without him and his compositions.
