Disney chefs are always happen to talk with you about specific dishes and other options. We’ve found that often individual chef’s will go out of their way to design a great meal as it gives adds some variety into their routines.
If you’re a vegetarian or vegan diner, what is your favorite place to dine at the Disneyland Resort?
Why do they think pecans are not vegan? (In the vegan salad options, they keep saying, “without pecans.”)
maybe they’re processed with animal fat
Royal Street Veranda’s vegan gumbo is fantastic! It’s makes me a very happy vegan.
I’m not vegetarian, but I do love vegetables and often order a vegetarian meal once or twice a trip. The vegetarian tacos at Rancho del Zocalo are fantastic!
The vegetarian tater bake at Flo’s V-8 looks amazing, too, but I’ve never been able to bring myself to order anything but the BBQ items, because they’re so freakin’ awesome there. Maybe one of these days…
Having traveled with a vegetarian several times in the past, I must say that Disney does an excellent job in providing at least one vegetarian option at almost every dining location. I’ve also been with a vegan who was able to “create” a vegan meal, even at dining locations that didn’t have vegan menu options — she would just order a plate of vegetable side dishes that were all vegan. The chefs at every table-service location seemed perfectly happy to do that for her.
