American Music Machine brings a capella sound back to EPCOT

New Epcot Entertainment Act: American Music Machine

American Music Machine is the newest musical act to perform at EPCOT. They perform regularly at the American Pavilion, but we got a sneak peek at the Coolest Summer Ever media preview on May 1st.

As you can tell they have a high-energy, contemporary style. The theme of the program is the global influence of American popular music, with a very diverse repertoire featuring arrangements from Tim Davis, whose work you’ve heard on the hit TV series “Glee.”

The five-member a capella group plays Wed-Sun at the America Gardens Theatre. Be sure to check them out on your next visit!

  1. They’re very talented, and it’s a nice show; BUT this is hardly a tribute to American history or culture the way the Fife & Drum Corps was. Naturally, EPCOT should improve their shows/attractions; but here they’ve — once again — confused improving (bringing out another or more enriching aspect of the principles at the heart of America’s founding) with simple contemporizing, which is what this is. You could see this kind of show at a lot of places, maybe even on TV’s Glee; and it’s hardly fitting with the “American Adventure.” EPCOT is supposed to be different. EPCOT is supposed to be better. Go back to the drawing board and plus it, Imagineers, like Walt would.
