Adventures by Disney and the Walt Disney Animation Studios are working together to create a family-friendly trip to Norway for vacationers to see for themselves the beautiful scenery that inspired Frozen, as well as get a glimpse of the rich culture and heritage of the Norwegian people and landscape.

The itinerary for the trip, which is a week-long adventure offered May—September 2014, offers many fun and exciting activities for both adults and children. When travelers first arrive in Norway they will tour the beautiful town of Bergen, which is the inspiration for Arendelle, the home of Anna and Elsa in the film.

Next vacationers will go river rafting to fully experience the breathtaking views of Fjord Country. The tour also includes meeting local storytellers, farmers, and fishermen, where guests will learn more about the culture and heritage of the area. Families will also have the chance to fish for trout in one of Norway’s most beautiful lakes, Lake Loen.

To get a glimpse of some of the famous architecture of Norway, visitors will tour the country’s Stave Churches. These historical buildings are culturally important to Norway, and they also served as the inspiration for much of the architecture in Frozen.

Finally, families will have the chance to unwind by enjoying a private farewell dinner at the Grand Hotel Oslo. They will also feel like part of the Norwegian culture by watching an authentic Folk Dancing and Folk Singing performance.

Adventures by Disney is only offering seven of these vacation packages, two of which are exclusive to adults only. But it seems like a fun and exciting adventure for kids and grown-ups alike, and will surely provide memories of a lifetime. I would be thrilled to get the chance to tour such a beautiful and culturally-rich country, especially when it relates to a Disney movie. Would you want to go on a trip like this to Norway?
