Walt Disney’s influence knows no national boundaries and so we go half-way around the world for this week’s Videopolis.
Formed in 2010, SAMA Quartet was the first all male, Arabic, Emirati Barbershop Quartet and they’re taking the Middle East, and soon (they hope), the world by storm. They’re multitrack version of “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin was just uploaded to YouTube this week:
‘World’ seems to be the standby track for multitrack acapella groups and SAMA Quartet performs it nicely. They’ve also been on season 2 of Arab’s got Talent and are working to bring this uniquely American style of acapella harmony to a new audience. Let’s wish them luck!
