We’re back from the Magic Kingdom with another photo update. We check in on the progress around New Fantasyland, spot a number of new refurbishments going on in and around the park, and look at a few outstanding maintenance issues. Once again, based on the feedback from the last update, we are again using Google+ Hangout to record this video. It’s best viewed on full screen:
If you want to take a closer look at any of those photos, you can view them on our Google+ photo album.
Below the cut is a video Disney World created to inform its cast members about the Storybook Circus and New Fantasyland expansion. It contains some amazing footage from the other side of the construction walls and inside the rides and restaurants.
Thanks to WDWNT to finding that. If that isn’t enough, you can also check out the latest aerial photos of New Fantasyland over on WDWMagic.
Pretty exciting times at the Magic Kingdom. What are you looking forward to most?
What was wrong with just posting photos? This limits a users ability to choose the speed with which they can move through the photos. So… I didn’t look at this. A lot of sites post these types of photos. If I have to go at a slow pace (12 minutes and 39 seconds!) and listen to a narration, I’m going to choose another site.
Hi John, I prefer viewing the images within the thread on the blog (the old fashioned way). I like to take my time viewing the images when I have time to waste at work. I’d rather not view a video/audio. Kevin Yee has been doing the same thing at Orlando Att. blog and anymore I just skip it. Just my two cents…
I agree 100% with Middlebrow. Cannot look at slideshow while at work, much easier to browse photos at my own pace.
Thanks for the videos! I like having them in addition to the photo gallery. I wouldn’t notice half of the stuff if you hadn’t pointed it out. My family and I are looking forward to the new Beauty and the beast section, especially BOG. I’ll be looking out for the next update post.
Used to look forward to your photo updates, but lately, they have become just too much trouble to view. I echo the sentiments of the previous posters regarding the video format of the photo gallery. I add, too, that the Google+ format is ridiculously annoying to view using iOS. Please go back to the good ole images on a page format – it’s much easier to browse regardless of device and it’s easier to zoom to get a better look.
Your attempts at improving the experience are not unappreciated. In this case though it’s a “can you do it; should you do it” situation.
