The much debated talking Mickey Mouse paid a visit to Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom yesterday. The articulated character interacts and talks to guests, which is often quite a surprise to guests who are used to a silent, pantomime based communication method.
This was just a very limited test, but it seems that Mickey gets a little more comfortable talking every time and will eventually be making regular appearances with full vocalization at domestic Disney theme parks.

Cute! I couldn’t picutre how that would work at all, but I like it!
I got to see this at the D23 Expo in August, it is great! I had fun talking to my favorite character and actually getting interaction with him! I hope this will expand to other characters soon! Just one more way of making them more magical and real!

Much cooler than I imagined it to be. My boys would love talking to Mickey. I’m looking forward to seeing this in person someday.
Personally, these kind of freak me out…I’m very used to the silent treatment! So I’m sure I’d have to get used to them walking around if they do.
