On July 19th a very minor fire broke out on the roof of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Looks like either a firework misfired or lit some leaves and other detritus on fire during a show. A technician was there very quickly to extinguish it. Here’s the exciting video:
Good thing that happened to Cinderella Castle where most of the construction is fiberglass. At Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland has a ton of wood in its construction.
I wonder how often this happens.
Horrible camera work? Who is this guy? The Moon Landing film was better than this…
Glad there wasn’t any serious damage done. Unfortunately, the guests seeing this – especially the kids – lost some of the ‘magic’ :(
lol they lost some of the magic

My kids hold a camera more still. Could have editted the video as well so we’re not watching a bunch of useless walking and talking after the zoomed in view of the Technician putting out the fire.
If I saw a fire on the castle, I wouldn’t continue to walk around in a circle filming everything else….should have kept the camera focused on the story at hand.
Good thing to see they had someone there quickly to put out the fire.
I wonder how ,any people wil notice the flames and smoke in the background of their photopass pictures…
hey i live in Anaheim and i go to the Disneyland here at least 9 times a month the castle doesn’t like it has a any wood on it it all look likes fiber glass
