Disneyland Hotel Union and Roseanne Barr?

Okay. Local 11 of the Unite Here union that’s currently battling Disneyland Resort over better working conditions and health care has a new video out featuring their ironic spokesperson Mr. Micky Mouth interviewing Roseanne Barr.

Apparently this was part of the campaign to get Motion Picture Academy members to vote against Toy Story 3 for Best Picture as a protest against Disney’s treatment of its hotel workers. Alas, it hit Youtube after voting had closed, so now it just stands as a monument of weirdness.

I’m not sure about you, but I think Local 11 has waded even further into the deep end with this one. I’m sympathetic to the union’s case, even supported them in the past, but some of their recent moves leave me questioning the real motivation of that union’s leadership.

  1. That was.. Ahhhh…. Huh? WTH!?
I think I just lost a few IQ points by watching that.

    I’m speechless…..

  2. Pingback: Alltop Disney

  3. Using Roseanne Barr as a spokesperson has made a difference for me, I will never again leave a tip for housekeeping while staying at Disneyland…………………………..

  4. Never side with Unite 11. They are after there own agenda. They have been using the workers as pawns and getting them screwed in the mean time. It’s time for the workers to drop Unite 11 and deal directly with Disney. Otherwise this long standing issue will never get resolved. Unite 11 must go.
