It may be the off-season for theme parks right now, but you would never know it based on some of the crowds expected this weekend. Of course, it is a three-day weekend with President’s Day on Monday (although I don’t get it off :p ). Over the last few years, the parks have figured out how to attract a fair number of visitors via music and festival promotions. Disney’s concert series kicks off later with the Flower and Garden festival March 2nd. SeaWorld and Universal, however, are going full speed ahead right now with their concert series.
Saturday Feb 19th
Willie Nelson will perform at SeaWorld in their Bands, Brew, and BBQ Music Festival.
The B-52s will perform at Universal Orlando as part of Mardi Gras festival.
Sunday Feb 20th
Dapper Days at Disney Parks is a fan organized theme day.
KC and the Sunshine Band will be at Universal Orlando
If you start with the 4:30 Willie Nelson concert you should be able to make it to the 8:30 B-52s later on Saturday. And there’s no excuse to miss the excellent Dapper Day at Disney World.
It’s going to be a crazy weekend. Where will you be?
