In my opinion, the fan organized group WDW Celebrations is one of the great things going on at Walt Disney World right now. They organize great events, usually for a very affordable amount, around big days at Disney’s famous theme parks. Now they’ve come up with Holiday Hoopla – a four day celebration centered around the great holiday offerings at the parks, history, fun, food, and special surprises. If you’re going to be in town Dec 2-5 you should check it out.

HOOPLA!
Registration is now open for “Holiday Hoopla,” the next Signature Event from WDWCelebrations. Register now at http://holidayhoopla.wdwcelebrations.com/.
Please join us December 2-5, 2010 for a holiday celebration including visits to all four parks and select hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort. There is a small registration fee to cover some of the costs of materials and postage to mail your credentials. Guests who sign up before October 15 will pay the early registration price of $6 for adults and $2 for children. On October 15, the regular registration fee is $8 for adults and $3 for children. Registration for “Holiday Hoopla” closes on November 18.
The tentative schedule for the event is available at http://www.wdwcelebrations.com/holiday-hoopla/tentative-schedule.html and a Frequently-Asked Questions page is located at http://www.wdwcelebrations.com/holiday-hoopla/holiday-hoopla-faq.html.
As always, a portion of each guest’s registration fee will support our Charity Initiative. In keeping with the holiday spirit of the event, the beneficiary of our charity donation for this event is the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
Tickets for the Group Lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe on December 5 are also available. Tickets can be purchased during registration. Space at the group lunch is limited, so the number of tickets available is therefore limited. More information can be found at http://holidayhoopla.wdwcelebrations.com/whispering-canyon-cafe-group-lunch-tickets.html.

Hello Chris,
We actually just returned from our first Disneyland-based event in honor of the resort’s fifty-fifth anniversary. For more information on that previous event visit: http://wdwcelebrations.com/event-archive/fifty-five.html
I would love to see things like this happen out here on the west coast, I would try to run it, but I honestly don’t have the time to do so.
How did I miss that? Grr…I was even in the parks that weekend! Sounds like it was fun.
Thanks to The Disney Blog for the mention and kind words yesterday. http://fb.me/xPTJ7S1B
