Alice in Wonderland reopens at Disneyland

After abruptly closing on July 15, the Alice in Wonderland attraction at Disneyland has reopened. Guests will notice a new safety barrier along the outside, elevated track where the caterpillar cars descend. The barrier will assist cast members and maintenance who might have to walk on that track.

The attraction was originally closed when an official from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health noticed a potential problem. Disney decided to close the ride and make an immediate fix after the report from OSHA. This is only a temporary measure, however. A more permanent fix will come later.

I haven’t seen it for myself. But pictures show that a railing has been added, as well as ground support. These are covered by patterned tarps that, while obviously tarps, fit in with the attractions themeing. It does look like a real safety improvement.

Have you seen the changes? What do you think?
