Amid on Cartoon Brew has a wonderful tribute to Betty Lawyer Kimball who died on Thursday at the age of 97. Betty joined the Walt Disney Studios in the Ink & Paint Department. Later she met and married Ward Kimball. Betty was married to Ward, one of Walt’s Nine Old Men, for 66 years until his death.

I am thankful that the Kimballs opened up their backyard and fired up their railroad so that folks like me could enjoy a ride. That was very gracious of them. I remember seeing Ward and Betty, and it wasn’t all that hard to spot their descendants, too.
