Meet Bill Farmer and help save Walt Disney’s first studio

Preservation efforts are underway to save Walt Disney’s original Laugh-O-Grams studio in Kansas City. This is where Walt hones his cartoon skills and produced the first in the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ series that helped him get his start in Hollywood.  The building is listed on the National Historic Places register, but unfortunately it has fallen on some hard times.

The group “Thank You Walt Disney” is working to restore the building to its former glory as well as preserve Walt’s animation history. If you’re in the Kansas City area you can help by buying tickets to a very special event next Saturday, the 15th.

A Dinner with Bill Farmer” is a special event that will help raise money for the cause, plus you get the chance to meet Bill and hear him tell stories of his days as a voice over artist. He’s done Goofy, Pluto, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, among many others.

  1. I’m a member of Thank You Walt Disney and will be attending the event. I hope that everyone in the KC area that’s reading this will come!
