I was listening to Ricky Brigante’s excellent Inside The Magic podcast (iTunes) from this week and really enjoyed listening to the recording of the Lasseter family talking about their winery and their passion for the drink. One member of the audience asked when Pixar be making a movie about wine and John’s answer was that Ratatouille was about as close as he expected Pixar to get. He gave a few bits of trivia from the movie. You can tell he really has a passion for animation and wine.
Then serendipitously the LA Times posted a series of videos with John Lasseter and his wife Nancy at the California Adventure Food & Wine festival. Lots of great information is contained in these clips too.

Thanks for the link! I was also amazed at how entertaining the Lasseters’ talk was despite the fact that I have no interest in wine whatsoever. I very rarely drink the stuff but I still enjoyed hearing all about a passion of John’s other than filmmaking.
