Guests to Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort can now immerse themselves in the life of one of the most iconic figures of our time. “Diana — The People’s Princess” celebrates the late Princess of Wales in a walk-through experience featuring 800-900 rare artifacts — most of which have never been viewed by an American audience. On view are items from her childhood, royal items from her engagement and wedding, hand-written notes, photography and signature gowns and suits.

Here’s a little video showing the set up of some of the exhibit:

Diana’s celebrated life plays out in video stations throughout the experience, including her unprecedented work with children and charities. Presented by The People’s Princess Charitable Foundation, “Diana — The People’s Princess” is open daily through Nov. 30, 2009. Tickets may be purchased at the exhibit, located at Downtown Disney West Side. Prices are $14.50 (ages 10 and above), and $5 (ages 3-9). Hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.

  1. Do you know who the admission monies are going to benefit? If it is just anotaher Disney admission price, I have a bit of a problem.

  2. What!? I thought they’re going to put in an IMAX or even two IMAX screens in the old Virgin Megastore. And it was supposed to be ready in time for premiere of Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’. But this “museum” seems to be a desperate attempt to fill in spaces and is displayed til Nov 09. I dont see how they’re be doing the construction for IMAX soon enough. Any thoughts?

  3. I’m afraid the Pleasure Island AMC 24 will only be getting some of those lie-max screens. Not the real IMAX just the fake digital projection enhancement IMAX wants you to pay more money for anyway.
