Disney adds special NBA Finals shirts

Despite the first game blowout, I’m still hoping for a competitive series in the NBA Finals “Fairytale” series. It appears that Disney is as well as they’ve just unveiled a special NBA Finals T-shirt collection featuring Mickey and the gang. They’re available just in time for Orlando Magic vs. Los Angeles Lakers Championship series. I think I’ll dead to downtown Disney tomorrow and see if I can get photos.

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced an all new line of t-shirts from the NBA celebrating the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers as they head for Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The Magic and Lakers share their hometowns with Disney’s two U.S. theme parks, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resor, and will be showcasing the most iconic of Disney characters, Mickey Mouse, as this new line designed for boys and men takes Mickey and friends Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto courtside.

“This new line of shirts celebrates the excitement of the NBA Finals while adding a touch of Disney style for NBA fans of all ages,” said Stephen Teglas, Vice President, Fashion and Home, Disney Consumer Products. “Mickey is at the forefront of many fashion trends and the NBA Finals are a perfect fit for both Mickey and his friends.”

With character-themed styles that incorporate the Magic and Lakers colors and logos, as well as the NBA Finals trophy, this line is fun and fashionable for all ages. The collection also includes iconic pieces using Mickey silhouettes, giving Magic and Lakers fans alike the chance to go coast to coast in Disney style.

Available in authentic team colors of Lakers purple and gold and Magic blue and white, boy’s shirts come in sizes 8-20, and men’s sizes ranging from S-XXL. The shirts are currently available at STAPLES Center and Amway Arena, Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World and online at nbastore.com, orlandomagicshop.com and lakersstore.com.
