Update: The site is now live. As it turns out it’s closer to Yahoo Answers than to a discussion board. This is really taking user generated content to a new level for the Walt Disney Company. On first glance, I think it’s great. More later when I’ve had a chance to explore.
I had heard that The Disney World Mom’s Panel was supposed to launch today. There’s even a story about it on CNN.com. Unfortunately the site at DisneyWorldMoms.com is still unchanged (as of noon eastern, and yes, I cleared my cache). The CNN story states that the site will be live later this month.
I am looking forward to see what Disney does with their panel of experts. I don’t think it’s meant to replace any of the discussion boards currently out there for trip planning and Disney fans. But it might become a friendly place for trip planners who aren’t ready for the commitment some of those other boards require to stay on top of things.
