Morning Roundup – June 29th

  • Some animated film with a rat who wants to be a cook opens today. Every one I’ve read who has seen it says go see it! Some say it’s the best animated film since Pinocchio. Rotten Tomatoes has Ratatouille ranked with a 92 out of 100. LaughingPlace.com’s Toon Kirby has his review up too. I’ll be seeing it on Sunday! Woo Hoo!
  • UGO.com has some humorous suggestions for future Pixar films. I think Space Monkeys actually has some potential.
  • Plans for the Anaheim Garden Walk go ahead with some vertical work taking place now. The official site now has a list of some of the food vendors who will populate the outdoor mall that will connect Disneyland with the plot of property planned for the third gate.
  • Kevin Yee talks about some changes he’s seen at EPCOT recently.
  • Cypress Gardens, about 45 minutes south of WDW, has delayed the grand opening of the historic ‘Starliner’ Wooden Roller Coaster. Apparently they’re still getting the computer system to function properly. No word yet on the new date.
  • Theme Law Blog is a relatively new blog that keeps tabs on the legal doings around theme and amusement parks. I’ve added this one to my reader.
  • Thanks to Feedburner, you can now receive daily emails with the contents of The Disney Blog. Just sign up in the right column.
