One of the things Major League Baseball and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays is doing to boost attendance at their 2007 home games, is to have three regular season games played at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Kissimmee. The goal being to show what a fun time it is to watch a nine inning professional sporting event and convince Orlando area residents to make the extra hour and a half drive to St. Petersburg for the rest of the regular season. I think it’s a great idea. I just can’t afford tickets right now.
If you want the ultimate experience, The Disney Dining Experience, a dining discount card for Florida residents and annual passholders, will be holding a special dining event on May 15th. I really can’t afford to attend this. But I certainly wish I could. Just check out the menu below.
The event will begin in true Disney Dining Experience fashion with an exclusive tailgating reception featuring savory hors d’oeuvres and beer and wines at the Tavern on the Green. Following the reception there will be goodies during the game so that you won’t miss a minute of the action.
Reservations for DDE card holders can be made beginning May 7th at 9 a.m. by calling Rosa at 407-560-5703.
