Pixar is notoriously tight lipped about future projects. But Brad Bird let the number of film currently in production slip in a recent interview. Upcoming Pixar blog puts it all together:
- Ratatouille – Brad Bird
- WALL-E – Andrew Stanton
- Untitled Gary Rydstrom Feature – Gary Rydstrom
- Untitled Brenda Chapman Feature – Brenda Chapman
- Untitled Lee Unkrich Feature – Lee Unkrich
- Untitled Pete Doctor Feature – Pete Doctor
I believe the Lee Unkrich film is Toy Story 3. For Walt Disney Feature Animation films we have American Dog – Chris Williams, Rapunzel – Glen Keane & Dean Wellins, and The Frog Princess – Ron Clements and John Musker. Are there other films at WDFA in production? Or are they moving slower than Pixar as they ramp up hand drawn animation again.
Which of these films are you most looking forward to and why?
I think I’m looking a bit more forward to Wall-E than Ratatouille. I guess because the little we know about the plot of Wall-E sounds awesome. A futuristic setting with robots appears a bit more irresistable than cute rats. But not by much.
