Amid over at Cartoon Brew gets some well deserved good press in the New York Times Book Review and Print Magazine for his book CARTOON MODERN: STYLE AND DESIGN IN FIFTIES ANIMATION. To celebrate he posted some concept art and story boards from the 1953 Ward Kimball directed Disney short, Toot Whistle Plunk and Boom. That’s great news for fans of Animation. There’s also a little mystery as to who exactly was responsible for these wonderful images.
Too bad Disney’s not in the business of making animation like this anymore.
