Happy Thanksgiving

To all my stateside readers, Happy Thanksgiving! To all my other readers, thanks for tuning in to The Disney Blog. I am immensely thankful for each and everyone of you and hope you get to spend some quality time with your family today whether you observe the holiday or not.

Looking at this day in Disney history there is a lot to be thankful for. Although Disney Animator Freddy Moore died today after complications from an auto accident, we can be thankful for his amazing artwork (see Blackwing Diaries). Today was the premier of the Mickey Mouse Club on ABC-TV in 1955. Also, Actress Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah Montana on the eponymous Disney Channel show, was born. She’s the child of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus.
