The Orlando area has just entered the "cone of uncertainty" for Tropical Storm Ernesto (NOAA). It is possible that sometime Thursday Walt Disney World could be under Hurricane Watch. If your vacation falls during this time period it might be worth your time to read Disney’s recently instituted Tropical Weather Policy or check with your hotel and airflights if you didn’t book through Disney for their policies. It’s interesting to note that Disney’s policy also works if your home is under hurricane watch.
That said, in 2004 when Disney closed multiple times for hurricanes there was always at least one park open the following day. Most guests reported little or now disruption or damage. So if Hurricane Ernesto menaces Disney, don’t worry too much. (Just feel sorry for those whose lives have been turned upside down by the storm.)
