Okay. This is getting a little out of control. Disney has announced that they are selling off even more of their property to real estate developers. One parcel is 349-acres. That’s just a few acres shy of the total size of the Disneyland Resort in California.
I know that the high market prices may be very tempting for Disney to help off-set some of the purchase price of Pixar or a rumored weak market at the theme parks, but once this land is sold – it’s gone. Homes and other development will spring up along the borders of the parks and resorts, sight lines will be compromised, traffic and noise will increase, and guests will be taken out of the magic that much easier.
