Katrina knocks out Six Flags New Orleans

  • by

I don’t think anyone is really suprised by this news, but Six Flags New Orleans will not be opening for the 2006 season. Wit the shakey, but recovering, state of its partent company, its future remains in doubt as well. Still Six Flags has new management, is celebrating its 45th Year as a company, and continues to open new attractions, like Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia. I think there is a good chance they’ll reopen in some form.

I also wanted to point out that SFOG is running charity auctions (including one that benefits Give Kids The World) for a chance to be the first guests onboard Goliath, a massive high speed roller coaster, one-day ahead of the public opening. If you live in the area, check it out.
