New Monorail Concept Drawing

Update: Apparently this was a secret that wasn’t supposed to get out. The concept art and the info about the project has been removed from the company’s site. It’s been no secret that Disneyland is looking to upgrade their current Monorail fleet. They couldn’t get the original manufacturer to do the job, they were too… Read More »New Monorail Concept Drawing

Another Disney Deal Nears Completion

In the midst of all this talk about purchasing Pixar, another major deal for Disney is about to wrap up. Disney’s ABC Radio unit has been on the market for sometime now and it looks like they finally got a buyer for it. $3 billion is the asking price for a package that includes a profitable network of stations, and, I believe, the Radio Disney unit.

The Animal Kingdom Debate

A new story in the Orlando Sentinel rehashes the debate over Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Is it a half-day park? Or with the addition of Expedition Everest, a 100+ million dollar roller coaster, will the park finally be seen as worthy of a full day of exploration? Personally, I’ve never thought of Animal Kingdom as a… Read More »The Animal Kingdom Debate

Rick Moranis sings Country

Just the other day I was wondering what ever happened to Rick Moranis. He played the bumbling inventor in Disney’s Honey I Shrunk the Kids movie and provided the voice of Rutt the Moose in Disney’s Brother Bear animated feature (and it’s upcoming sequel). He has also had roles in many other movies (Ghostbusters, Space… Read More »Rick Moranis sings Country

Yet Another Disney/Pixar Post

It’s YADPP! This time Chuck over at O-Meon chimes in with a long piece on some parallels between Eisner, Iger, and Jobs. Jobs, who is viewed by Mac faithful as a Walt Disney type figure, looks to come out smelling rosy on any end of this deal. Curiously, Chuck is one of the few to… Read More »Yet Another Disney/Pixar Post
