Another Disney Deal Nears Completion

In the midst of all this talk about purchasing Pixar, another major deal for Disney is about to wrap up. Disney’s ABC Radio unit has been on the market for sometime now and it looks like they finally got a buyer for it. $3 billion is the asking price for a package that includes a profitable network of stations, and, I believe, the Radio Disney unit.

Even though the rumored Pixar deal would be done as a stock swap, I’m sure it would be nice to have some extra cash hanging around. Disney sells a non core product and acquires a successful studio that is at the core of Disney’s product and brand.
