Reports from Seoul, South Korea are that Disney is in talks to open a themepark there. I’m not sure how much credence to put in this report as they said the same thing last November. Plus with Singapore practically announced at the Hong Kong Disneyland opening… but who knows?
The Walt Disney Company could be playing the same game with Seoul and Singapore that it played with Anaheim and Virginia over who would get the next Disney themepark. Not that those negotiations worked out well for anyone. Anaheim lost WESTCOT and Virginia defeated Disney’s America. If I were city officials I’d ask for assurances I wasn’t getting played.
