Orlando Sentinel reports that Kellen Winslow, an NFL Hall of Famer whose son has just entered the NFL, has been appointed the new Director of Planning and Development for Walt Disney World’s Sports Operations.
Winslow’s charge will be to expand on Disney’s current holdings in the sports and recreation division, which includes the Wide World of Sports complex, five golf courses and two water parks.
I was just wondering why Disney doesn’t make more of the great sports facilities at the Orlando destination. Now I know that they plan to. With the newly expanded Hess Fields, I look forward to seeing more and more amateur and professional level sports on Disney’s Property.
Of course, if you’re there right now, why not stop in and see the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s while they go through training camp at the facilities..
