Pixar ‘Coco’ family celebration planned at Disney Springs

Early reviews for Pixar’s “Coco” indicate that it’s a return to the originality and creativity that fans fell in love with in movies like “Inside Out” and “Up,” The film was inspired by the Mexican-holiday of “Dia de los Muertos” and takes its main character, Miguel, on a journey through the Land of the Dead.

To celebrate the arrive of the film, Disney Springs will host a family-friendly fiesta that will provide a taste of the bright and vibrant world of “Coco.” Expect there to be music, food, and decorations from 6pm to 10pm every night. Friday through Sunday nights where will also be activities for the kids and face-painting.

One of the featured food items will be Vanilla flan, which you can find on the Springs’ Street Tacos Food Truck. I”ll be checking that out for sure.

The fun starts this Friday, October 27, over at Exposition Park on the West Side of Disney Springs and runs through November 22. Pixar’s Coco will arrive in theaters on November 22.
