The Hub, or Central Plaza, of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is in the middle of a major makeover that will bring a lush garden like setting with more room for viewing parades and fireworks. There will also be new permanent stage lighting and control booths along with outdoor vending locations.
We visited the park and took this video showing expanded construction that now includes the old Rose Garden area and putting new flower beds around the Partner’s Statue in the middle of the hub.
There is also a lot of infrastructure being added to support the Cinderella Castle forecourt stage. Eventually these will all be themed to look like outposts of the castle, instead of the old Main Street turn of the century designs it used to have.
