When I was in High School *cough* *cough* years ago, I spent a good portion of my junior and senior years lobbying to have the school participate in Disneyland’s Grad Nite program. Alas, I failed in my endeavor, and thus will always be incomplete in my Disneyland experience. But 5 million other students have been to the park to celebrate their major life achievement. In fact, number five million himself visited just last night.
Samuel Jacobo (pictured center) of Summit High School in Fontana, CA, entered the history books on Thursday, May 28, 2009, as the five millionth guest of the popular graduation bash. Jacobo was greeted by the Resort’s Celebration Street Team, had his photo taken with Mickey Mouse and received special gifts for the prestigious honor. Nice to see he dressed up for the evening too.
Since 1961, Grad Nite at the Disneyland Resort has been the choice for high school graduates nationwide to gather for a safe and exclusive after-hours party featuring classic attractions, dance clubs and deejays from Southern California’s most popular radio stations. Grads can visit www.disneylandgradnite.com to learn more about the party that awaits.
